Guide to installing Fanatec Porsche GT3RS and Clubsport pedals in Obutto cockpit
1. Wheel
The GT3 will work with the Obutto 2 ways. The actual metal plate on the Obutto is too thin for the clamp on the
wheel so the easy solution is to get a hard cover book or piece of wood to put under the wheel stand and clamp the
wheel on. I recommend hardmounting the GT3 onto the Obutto as it is extremely sturdy and actually very easy to do
since the GT3 already has threads on the bottom of the wheel to put bolts through.
To hardmount the wheel all you need to do is go to the Fanatec website and print out the drilling template for the
Picture of wheel stand after drilling: pic 1
Make sure when you print it out you print it at 100% actual size so it doesn't make it smaller to fit on one piece
of paper or the mounting holes will not line up. After you print it punch out the holes and make sure they line up
with the wheel so you don't drill holes that won't line up. Line up the template evenly on the front edge of the
wheel stand and drill small holes in the 4 spots. Slowly move up in bit size till the holes are big enough to fit
bolts through. If you have clubsport pedals you can use the 4 extra allen screws that came with the pedals as they
are long enough and the same thread that fits in the wheel. Mount the wheel on top and put the 4 allen screws
through and bolt it down.
2. Clubsport Pedals
The little rubber pads on the feet of the clubsports actually work really well with the Obutto as both the rubber
surfaces have teeth that fit into each other. The clubsports are pretty heavy and in the Obutto on an angle they
really don't move much, however if you like the stiffer brake and are going to be moving around using clutch and
right foot braking I do recommend bolting them down. Another easy fix. The feet of the clubsports all have holes
to put a bolt through. What I did is take the pedals and turn them around because you can't make marks on the
holes in the back feet of the clubsports cause they are covered. Make marks through the front feet where you want
the back feet to be when you bolt it down. Removed the pedals and drill through the floorboard of the obutto. Put
the pedals back in and match up the rear feet of pedals with the holes drilled through floorboard, put a bolt
through and tighten the nut down. Smash the brake and move around all over the pedals now cause they aren't goin
anywhere.
3. Shifter
As of now the Fanatec shifter has no clamp whatsoever (only has holes for the flimsy tension rod mounting) so to
mount onto the Obutto shifter arm can be a little tricky. I didn't want to drill into the shifter so I found the best way to mount the shifter so you can use 6 speed with no movement in the shifter is to put some cushion tape around shifter and use metal hose clamps to clamp it down onto to the shifter plate. For the connector I used a hole saw to cut out the base where the plug goes in.

So there you have it. The Fanatec GT3 and Clubsports work great in the Obutto Ozone.
